About us

My name is Vasilis Karbouris. I started Business Mind, a consulting and recruiting firm, in 1999, after a successful career spanning more than 20 years in the travel, services, training and information technology industries.

My experience covers sales, finance, training, marketing, recruiting and general management. Prior to Business Mind, I was the general manager of EDUCOM, the most successful IT Training organization in Australia during my 8 years with them.

 

We are passionate in our pursuit for top talent

Since my early days as a manager, I have been passionate in the pursuit for hiring top talent. Selecting the right person for the right job has been critical in my success and in the success of the organizations I have worked for.

Over the years, I have learnt from my mistakes and have put my expertise and education in the form of a performance-based structured hiring approach, which has produced excellent results for my customers and me. This is the approach my colleagues and I use and this is the approach I train my customers on.

 

A performance-based approach that produces outstanding results

The approach is simple but very effective, a superset of behavioural interviewing with an emphasis on uncovering candidates' motivational and energy success traits.

In a nutshell, the approach is based on the principle that “past performance is the best predictor of future success”. The approach is simple and can be taught in 5 hour or 8 hour workshops: "Hiring Top Performers".
